What’s In My School Lunch?
One of the saddest things that I witness as a teacher is a student not eating their free school lunch because “it looks like vomit.” Or having a student not eat because their leftover dinner is cold or just not good. Where in the world are the healthy lunch recipes for kids? Now I know kids can be picky but, look at that photo! What is that even supposed to be?! Chicken? Rice? Potatoes? Beef? I have no idea! All I know is that it looks disgusting and tasteless.
Think about it, if I, an adult, finds that disgusting and tasteless; imagine what your kiddo thinks when this is served to them by the cafeteria. (YUCK)
I know it’s sometimes difficult to get creative with packing a delicious school lunch for your kiddo, so I went ahead and found ten healthy school lunch ideas that will get your child excited about school lunch.
These containers by Rubbermaid are the perfect size to fit in just about any lunch box. I also LOVE how they have different sized containers!
